McFarlin Foundation
The McFarlin Foundation was established in 1989 and opened a new door to the future for McFarlin Memorial United Methodist Church. This permanent endowment fund generates income for programs and the maintenance and preservation of the facilities beyond the annual budget.
Gifts may be made for overall support, to designated programs, or to establish new ministries.
The Foundation is governed by a board of trustees selected through the established nomination process and approved by the McFarlin Administrative Board. The trustees receive gifts and direct them in accordance with strict investment policies.
Current policy provides for distribution of a percentage of annual earnings to the Administrative Board for direction of funds.
Each year contributors to the Foundation are honored at a dinner where trustees report the growth of foundation funds and the annual distribution to McFarlin.
The Foundation began with a single gift, and it continues with the generosity of many.
