Sunday Mornings

Sunday Mornings:

Early Childhood Sunday School

Children ages 18 months through Kindergarten participate in an inviting and age-appropriate time of worship from 11:10 – 11:40 AM (during the 10:55 AM worship services) in room 104. We currently follow Cokesbury’s “Deep Blue” curriculum. For more information, visit

The nursery is available from 8:15-12:15 every Sunday morning.  Children ages 6 weeks through Kindergarten are welcome to attend the nursery during worship services.  During this time, they can engage in fun and age appropriate activities that are related to the Sunday School lesson or sermon series.  We welcome all children.  Contact Kristy Varva if you would like a tour or to schedule a time to meet staff.

Elements of Worship

Children in first through third grades are invited to leave the 10:55 worship service with our Elements escort and come to the Lighthouse classroom for Elements of Worship. During this time, we explore the components of our worship services (such as Communion, the creed, use of the hymnal, and sending forth to serve) so that children may understand worship better when they are with your family. Elements does not meet on the first Sunday of the month, so that children may celebrate Communion with their families.

We invite fifth graders to serve during worship services by carrying in the light and assisting the ministers with baptisms and other special occasions. Please see the Acolyte’s Basic Guide and Survey Sheet.
