Missions

Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma

Serving locally is important to the McFarlin Student Ministries, and our primary way of fulfilling this is to serve through the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma in OKC.  Click HERE for details on the next time we will serve there.

House From The Ground Up

Leading up to and during spring break 2017 we will build our 3rd House From The Ground Up in the Rio Grande Valley of South Texas.  An adult team will travel to the Rio Grande Valley February 23 – March 4 to start the house.  Adults are needed to travel and serve during all those dates, or part of those dates; there is flexibility in a participant’s departure and return.

Sunday, November 13 at 12:15pm there will be an informational meeting for those who want to know more about the House From The Ground Up.  This will take place in room 222 at McFarlin.

The McFarlin Students will finish the House From The Ground Up during spring break, March 11 – 18, 2017.

This mission, taking place June 18 – 24, 2017, is open to those currently in grades 11 and 12.  We will also need adults to travel with us.  Our team will serve in Sumpango, Guatemala, about 30 miles outside Guatemala City.

Our team will  serve with Next Step Ministries. To learn more about Next Step and the work we will do in Sumpango, click HERE.

The anticipated cost for the mission is $1500, depending on airfares. Each participant will be responsible for this entire cost; an opportunity to send letters asking for financial support will be provided for those who travel with us.

If you are interested in this mission, please fill out the below form.  This does not obligate you to the mission, nor does it guarantee you a spot.  This is just a way for us to know who is interested.
