As Senior Pastor at McFarlin Memorial United Methodist Church, I welcome you to our website and encourage you to be our guest this Sunday. Within the walls of our beautiful, historic church located at University Blvd. and Apache Street, you will find a wonderful spirit, and a blending of the old and the new. You will discover people of all ages who genuinely care about you, your family, and your faith journey.
We value our heritage, dating back to The Land Run of 1889, and are dedicated to telling the story of how God’s grace guides our lives…past, present and future. We are committed to providing a place where hearts and minds are challenged to a greater understanding of God’s vision, through dynamic worship, music, study and outreach.
We offer several services every Sunday morning at 8:30 and 10:55 AM. The traditional services held in our sanctuary offer internationally recognized choir and bell groups, inspiring messages, and opportunities for you to grow further in your walk with God. Our contemporary service at 10:55 AM meets in Fenn Hall where you will find excellent praise music, great messages, and a more informal/casual style of worship. If you are looking for a church home that offers dynamic messages and music, and ministers to the needs of a growing family, please check out McFarlin’s fine Sunday school classes for all ages. Our updated facilities and nursery are prepared to offer your children a place where they will be loved and cared for. Additionally, you will find at McFarlin a place to live your faith through mission opportunities, locally, nationally, and globally. You can also learn more about McFarlin UMC by reading our online newsletter, McFarlin Alive.
Rev. Cal Brannon, Rev. Shyloe O’Neal, Rev. Tino Herrera, Rev. Harriette Leigh Kemp, the McFarlin staff, and our entire congregational family join me in extending a warm invitation for you to be in mission with us. Come join our vibrant, growing family … a place that seeks to grow in our faith, while serving God and others. We believe our faith can make a difference in the world. Join us as we live this out!
With great joy,
Rev. Linda Harker, Senior Pastor
