Below you’ll find details about our Advent series and devotional book, giving opportunities and a FULL list of calendar events for the Advent season. We hope you and your family will join us in coming home for Advent at McFarlin!
Join us every Sunday morning for our Advent sermon series, He Will Bring Us Goodness & Light. We’re turning last year’s Advent devotion book into a tradition! Staff and laity have written devotions for each day of Advent. Extra books are available at the church, or click the button below for a digital version.
Order a poinsettia in honor or in memory of someone you love, and we will fill the Sanctuary stage with poinsettias during the Advent season. Proceeds benefit our community partner, Meals on Wheels. Questions? Contact Shouna Massey at firstname.lastname@example.org 321-3484 ext. 132.
Bring joy to families in our community! Our angel trees will be ready starting Sunday, Nov. 21. You can help in 3 ways … grab a tag from an Angel Tree in the building (in the Atrium or outside Fenn Hall), choose a “virtual tag” from the online angel tree (see button below), or donate to our Angel Tree fund on our Give Page and someone will do the shopping for you. Questions? Contact Scott Meier // 321-3484 ext. 109 or email@example.com
This year the Christmas Offering will go toward three areas of mission and outreach this year:
Our Goal for this year’s Christmas Offering is $70,000!
*Note: Choose “Christmas Offering” in the drop-down menu
We’ll see you in Sanctuary worship on Sunday for a special service of excerpts and reflections from Handel’s Messiah with Pastor Rockford and members of the Norman Philharmonic.
Bring your family and enjoy an evening of festive and beautiful arrangements performed by our handbell choirs.
All are welcome to attend the UMW Christmas program “Christmas Classics: From Nostalgia to Joys that Continue”. Come celebrate as they travel through traditions of foods, music and art on our journey to the manger. There will be special music by Daphne Fix and Stephen Wurst, a live nativity scene and more!
Join McFarlin’s Music Ministries for a beautiful concert of choral performances and beautiful music as we celebrate this Advent season of hope, goodness and light. LIVESTREAM will be available for this event.
Join Modern worship at 11am for a special Christmas caroling service. This is a family event you don’t want to miss!
Sensitive to the hurt & grief many are feeling this season, this service looks toward the hope & healing of Jesus’ birth.
Christmas Eve is a special day at McFarlin and we encourage you to invite your friends and family to one of our services.
