Back to School Offering: As students in Norman head back to school, we receive a special offering to support children at the Wesley Primary School in Morogoro, Tanzania. One of the top-rated schools in Tanzania, last year 100% of students in grade 7 passed the national exam necessary to move on to high school. Wesley Primary is changing the lives of children in Tanzania who will go on to change the world! The cost to sponsor a child for lunch is $127 per year and the cost to sponsor a child’s tuition is $300 per year. We aim to sponsor 208 children for lunch and 42 students for tuition.

We invite you to embark on a transformative journey with Pastor Trey as we delve into John Mark Comer’s book, Practicing the Way. Over three weeks, we will explore the foundational aspects of having a relationship with Jesus and growing as a disciple of Jesus. By discovering a heart-filled faith combined with a set of practices and relational rhythms to slow us down, you’ll discover how to open up space in your daily life for God to do what only God can do, transforming the deepest parts of you to become more like Him.
Politics and Faith Conscientiously—Pastor Rockford teaches a four-week class Sept. 8-29, during the Sunday School hour in Fenn Hall. In this intensely debated election campaign season, we will explore biblical texts such as Romans 13:1-7 and John 18:33-38 as we consider biblical, theological, and practical insights into the relationship between faith and politics, the connection between church and government, the pitfalls and positives of those interactions, and the calling of the church and followers of Jesus to be salt and light while living as citizens in an age of polarizing politics.
