As we embark on the 25th Spring Break Mission, we once again seek support for the projects we will tackle while in the Rio Grande Valley of South Texas. Through Fund A Project, the people of McFarlin, along with other supporters, have helped to build homes in Mexico, build a kindergarten and school addition in Mexico, add on to and repair churches in Mexico and South Texas, repair homes in the South Texas, and provide VBS’s in neighborhoods and churches in Mexico and South Texas.
This year, our expected team of 125 people hopes to take on 8 to 10 home repairs as well as lead a VBS at San Pablo United Methodist Church in Alamo, Texas. We will budget between $1000 and $2000 per project. Over the past several years we have formed partnerships with churches and organizations in South Texas, thus ensuring that our Spring Break efforts last much longer than just a week.
