What is RED?
RED is the name of a new Bible study and lead team for 9th through 12th grade high school students. It is an opportunity to explore what it means to lead from a Christian perspective; and a chance to see how we can fulfill McFarlin’s mission to Change Lives That Change the World in tangible and real ways. More than just talking about leadership and how to change the world, RED will actually find ways to DO IT!
Why is it Called RED?
In the Bible, the worlds of Jesus (found primarily in the Gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John) are printed in red. Why? Because these help these words stand out…these very important word for those who follow Jesus. And, the color red is a bold color, often used in advertising and promotions to draw people attention to something.
In much the same way, followers of Jesus are called to live the world of Christ in their everyday lives, and to do it in a way that stands out from the ways of the world. And in all they do, Christians are called to live a life that points to Jesus!
Who Is RED For? Those in grades 9, 10, 11, & 12 during the 2018/2019 School Year.
When Will RED Meet?
RED will have its first meeting on Tuesday, September 4. Norman Public Schools are out that day. We will be doing a Ropes Course in the OKC area.
RED will then meet on Sundays, 6pm to 7:30pm.
What is the Commitment?
