Church at the Crossroads: What's Next for McFarlin

A crucial gathering for everyone who calls McFarlin home.
Today, across the United States, the Church is at a crossroads. The reality is that there are some historic challenges. McFarlin needs this gathering when we all come together to hear how such challenges have an impact on McFarlin and how we can meet and overcome them. This is a time to gain clarity about how our church can and will remain vital.
We invite every active McFarlin participant to a pivotal gathering. Because we expect a large number, we will gather in the Sanctuary. This is more than an update. This is sharing information crucial to our bright future together. You will not want to miss this.
The Schedule for October 5 is:
- 8am Coffee and Donuts in the Atrium
- No 8:30am worship service
- 9–10:30am “Church at the Crossroads” in the Sanctuary
- 11am Sanctuary and Modern Worship
This is not just another church gathering. It represents a crucial point in time. Our key elected lay leadership, as well as our pastors and key staff members, request that every adult McFarlin participant prioritize this time. Adult Sunday School classes are asked to attend rather than meet separately, so we can all be part of this shared experience.
We will come together with confidence in God and in each other, with sincere prayer and faith, with strong love and hope. Please plan to attend.
