Mission programs are not an option in the church; they are the foundation for spreading the good news of Jesus Christ! Mission is a natural aspect of any Christian lifestyle and is at the core of our mission of Changing Lives that Change the World.
We believe in putting hands and feet to our faith by serving here at McFarlin, in the Norman community, and around the world. There is always more work to be done, more lives to be changed, and more people who need to tangibly experience the love and grace of Jesus Christ. We’d love the opportunity to help you put your faith to work through the missions of McFarlin!
If you want to know how you can engage in missions, either close to home or on the other side of the world, please contact Scott Meier, director of missions and community outreach, at email@example.com or 405-321-3484, ext. 109.

Prayer Shawl Ministry:
he shawls, scarves and lap blankets created by McFarlin’s knitters and crocheters are reminders of God’s love for each of us and “his promise that nothing in all of life can ever separate us from Him.” Our prayer shawl volunteers knit and crochet beautiful shawls, lap blankets, and scarves and as they do, they weave into each prayers of hope, peace, healing and love for those who will receive them. You can knit on your own, or join in on one of the groups where knitters join together for a time of fellowship and knitting. Please contact Jane Cook at firstname.lastname@example.org or 405-321-3484, ext. 115.
The Prayer Shawl Ministry volunteers meet on the second Sunday of each month to share stories of the giving of these shawls and thank you notes received, and to bless those shawls and scarves completed during the month. Knitting/crochet circles meet bi-monthly on the first and third Mondays for fellowship but attendance is not required to be a participant in this ministry.

There are many in our community who have need for furniture, and many in our community who have furniture to give. Would you be wiling to help move furniture (collect and/or distribute) or keep our storage unit oganized? If you have furniture to donate, we are looking for gently used items that do not need to be repaired. We can take mattresses, in some cases, as long as they are clean and bug free! If we can’t use the furniture, we donate it to the Cleveland County Habitat for Humanity Re-Store. Contact Scott Meier if interested, email@example.com or 405-321-3484, ext. 109
