Picnic in the Park

Sept. 13| 5-7pm | Lions Park, 450 S Flood Ave.

Join us for an evening of great food, lawn games, music, and meaningful conversation as the McFarlin family gathers at Lions Park. Whether you’ve been at McFarlin for decades or you’ve never visited before, we’d love for you to pull up a lawn chair, grab a plate, and spend the evening with us.

More Than a Church Picnic

This isn’t just another event on the calendar. Over the past several weeks, our church has been exploring one simple question: What if love became visible in everyday life? We’ve been learning to bless, to listen, to serve, and to invite. Picnic in the Park is our chance to practice it together.

We believe some of the best conversations happen around picnic tables, lawn chairs, and shared meals. It’s a relaxed evening designed to help neighbors become friends and strangers become familiar faces, where there’s no pressure or ask, just good food, good people, and room for one more.

What to Expect

Bring a blanket or lawn chair and come enjoy an evening in the park with people of all ages.

We’ll provide:

  • Hot Dogs
  • Chips, desserts, and drinks
  • Lawn games and family activities
  • Music featuring Mike Hosty
  • Space to relax and connect

Whether your kids want to run and play, you’re looking to meet new people, or you’d simply enjoy a meal outdoors, there’s something for everyone.

Bring Someone With You

One of the easiest ways to share God’s love is simply to share a meal. Think about someone who might appreciate an invitation: a neighbor, a coworker, a teammate. Someone new to town. Someone who has been looking for community. This is a simple, welcoming place to say, “Would you like to come with us?” Everyone Is Welcome. There’s always room for one more.
