JAT Summer Book Study

Mondays: July 6-20 | 7-8:15pm in the Library

The mission of McFarlin’s Just Action Team (JAT) is to confront and seek to eliminate racism, both within organizations and individuals, in every facet of life and society. One way we pursue this mission is through education, reflection, and meaningful conversation.

This summer, join us for a three-week book study of Behold the Walls by civil rights activist and educator Clara Luper. In this powerful memoir, Luper shares her experiences leading the fight for racial justice in Oklahoma and helping shape the Civil Rights Movement through nonviolent activism.

Together, we will explore the history of this important work, learn from Luper’s legacy, and engage in thoughtful discussion about how her story continues to inspire action today. All are welcome to participate.
