Spring Break Mission 2026

March 14 - 21

Say “Spring Break” to anyone at McFarlin, and their mind wanders not to ski slopes or beaches, but to the life-changing mission that has been taking place for over 30 years. People of all ages, from those just a few months old to those in their 90s, have been participating in Spring Break since it started in 1994.

The Spring Break Mission is open to all ages, including families. Those in middle school and older are welcome to travel without a parent or guardian. In 2025 our ages ranged from 5 to 70 and beyond!

Spring Break 2026 is March 14-21.  We depart Saturday morning, March 14 and stay overnight in San Antonio.  After driving to McAllen, Texas on Sunday, March 15, we serve in the Rio Grande Valley of South Texas the following week. On Saturday, March 21 we drive home to Norman.

The Rio Grande Valley of South Texas. We stay in McAllen, TX at First United Methodist Church and serve throughout The Valley.
  • $490, all-inclusive.
  • $475, all-inclusive, for those in Confirmation.
We have discounts for families going together.  We also have scholarships available.  Please don’t let cost be the reason you don’t participate in the Spring Break Mission.
In the Rio Grande Valley our larger group will break into Teams, with each being assigned a project. Projects include: home repairs, building wheelchair ramps, working on church building, serving at a Food Bank. We also plan on having a Team of elementary children, with age-appropriate projects for them, led by Zach James and Katie Lanier.

We are excited about families traveling with us and make a number of accommodations. This year we are looking into the possibility of securing an Air BnB for families with young children. If you are interested in this option, please contact Pastor Trey Witzel or Scott Meier.
