Join United Women in Faith for an inspiring and important evening featuring Jodie Stewart, Communications & Events Specialist at the Women’s Resource Center in Norman.
Raised in Norman, Jodie has served the Women’s Resource Center her whole life—first as a volunteer and now, for the past three and a half years, in her current role. After studying strategic communication at Southeastern Oklahoma State University, Jodie now leads the center’s marketing, social media, and community events. She is passionate about shining a light on domestic violence, sexual violence, and stalking, helping open more doors to safety, dignity, and hope.
The Women’s Resource Center’s mission:
“We believe that everyone has the right to live in safety, be treated with dignity, make choices, and to hope.”
Formerly known as United Methodist Women, this group is a supportive, inclusive Christian membership organization where women like you grow spiritually, develop as leaders and serve and work to create a world in which all women, children and youth thrive. United Women in Faith is celebrated as the women’s ministry of The United Methodist Church.
Our members nurture one another in the community and support U.S. and international projects and partners,
improving the lives of women, children and youth with their prayers, volunteer and advocacy efforts, and financial gifts.
Any woman who commits herself to the PURPOSE of United Women in Faith and to engage in mission, study, personal growth and social action can join. You don’t have to be a United Methodist member or meet an age requirement to join the United Women in Faith group.
United Women in Faith is open to ALL women. Our purpose is to know God, to develop supportive fellowship by encouraging one another in spiritual growth and personal development, and to serve others through local and global ministries.
