What if love wasn’t just something we believed?

What if it became something our neighbors experienced? What if love showed up in classrooms, coffee shops, neighborhoods, workplaces, ballfields, hospitals, and homes? What if love looked like listening before speaking?

Imagine Norman where everyone served before being asked, welcomed before expecting anything, invited without pressure, and gave without wanting anything in return. Following Jesus has always been about more than attending church. Being a disciple of Jesus is about becoming the kind of people whose lives make God’s love visible.

This fall, McFarlin is inviting our entire church into a twelve-week journey to discover what happens when ordinary people practice extraordinary love in everyday life.

Our PRAYER

We aren’t asking one question. We’re asking hundreds.

What if…

…every child knew they were loved?

…every teacher knew someone was praying for them?

…our neighbors experienced kindness before they heard our opinions?

…people who had been hurt by church found healing?

…our generosity changed lives beyond our walls?

…our community knew McFarlin because we loved well?

Our JOURNEY

August:
- Love Welcomes: We begin by blessing students, teachers, and families as a new school year begins. Love moves first.
- Come and See: What if evangelism wasn’t about pressure? What if it looked more like recommending something you genuinely love? We’ll explore practical, everyday ways to share our faith naturally.
September:
- Picnic in the Park: One church. One community. One afternoon.
- Bring a lawn chair. Bring a friend. Bring your appetite. Most importantly … just bring someone.
- Half-Truths: Some of the most familiar sayings in Christianity aren’t actually found in Scripture. Together we’ll explore common misconceptions that have hurt people and rediscover the hope of the Gospel.
October:
- What If Love? Shines Generously: Stewardship is about much more than money. It’s about living a life that leaves behind hope, faith, generosity, and love for generations to come.

LOVE IN ACTION: Faith doesn’t stop on Sunday.

Every week our church will practice one simple act of love.

Sometimes that’s praying.
Sometimes it’s inviting.
Sometimes it’s listening.
Sometimes it’s serving.
Sometimes it’s meeting a practical need through CarePortal.
Because love grows through practice.
